Wengen (1274 m) - a public car free, traditional yet trendy holiday resort lying on a sheltered, sun-soaked terrace, 400 metres above the picturesque Lauterbrunnen Valley.
The fantastic surrounding scenery is dominated by the dramatic Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau massif. This amazing area offers superb skiing at Männlichen-Kleine Scheidegg and the Eiger Glacier. Since 1893, Wengen has been easily accessible from Lauterbrunnen with the historic Wengernalp Railway.
The Region Jungfrau Top Ski is in winter the ideal starting point. The ski centre Kleine Scheidegg - Männlichen with the famous down hill ski race from the Lauberhorn and Eigergletscher and a lot of red and blue runs which won’t let anybody miss out on skiing.
In January the international ski race takes place, probably the most spectacular World Cup-Race in the whole ski circus. Also non-skiers have chosen the place for relaxation and peace - fresh air and especially long sunshine duration guaranteed in Winter.back to top
